CHECK OUT THE 2024 RACE SWAG!
In 2024, all runners will receive a long sleeve tech shirt and a finishers medal for their race. If you want to run the 2-race challenge, you’ll start the 5K first and the Half Marathon 45 minutes later. You’ll earn all the swag including the long sleeve, both the 5K and Half finishers medals and 1 challenge slider! PLUS – all finishers in all races will earn a bonus swag gift!
START TIMES:
Race Day is December 7, 2024
The 5K will start at 7 AM downtown in Riverfront Park. CLICK HERE for directions.
The 10k will start at 7:30 AM
The Half Marathon will start at 7:45 AM
CHALLENGE RUNNERS SPECIAL NOTE: You must be able to complete the 5K in 45 minutes or less to get in line for the Half Marathon Start. There will be no late starts allowed.

FINISH LINE AFTER PARTY:
You can count on a good time at our Finish Line After Party! Race Bash is bringing all the fun and even some SURPRISES…you won’t want to miss it! Hosted at Riverfront Park, the after-party includes beer from Wrightsville Beach Brewery and Poor Piggy’s BBQ (you will have voucher tabs on your bib for these). Additional beer will be available to purchase. Beverage sales and the after-party will be over at 11:30 AM. See you there!
AWARDS:
Every participant will earn a finisher medal! In addition to that, we would like to celebrate some of our top runners! Stop by the Awards Tent to pick up your Midtown Pop award! (We will not have a ceremony due to the different start times of the races.) The awards will be as follows:

COME RUN WITH US DECEMBER 7, 2024!
1) We are taking runners through the most historic areas of downtown Wilmington down Water St., up Market St. & Front St.
2) We’re knocking out the 3 bridges in the first 5 miles!
3) We’re going to get a little distance out by Greenfield Lake, but we’ve got a completely closed course to keep our runners safe on any roads!
4) Over a 1 mile stretch to the finish line down the nation’s top-ranked River Walk!
5) A finish line party you don’t want to miss hosted at The Riverfront Park Downtown Wilmington with free beer and good ol’ Carolina BBQ!
The Wilmington Historic Half Marathon, 10K and 5K takes runners through some amazing views in a completely closed course through Downtown Wilmington and other historic sites. A race to remember and one you won’t soon forget includes the most historic routes of North Carolina’s largest historic district (Downtown Wilmington, NC), along the nation’s top-rated river walk/boardwalk, and 3 bridges (in the 10K and Half Marathon only).
